Today at the Secretariat for European Affairs Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia in charge of European Affairs, Arbr Ademi PhD had a meeting with Colin Wolfe from DG Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations- NEAR.
At the meeting they discussed the current situation in the use of IPA support, as well as opportunities to expand cooperation on regional development. Deputy Prime Minister Ademi, as National IPA Coordinator, informed Mr. Wolfe on the priorities he has set in terms of IPA relating to operation and development of the decentralised implementation system for IPA, IPA implementation with the highest possible rate of absorption, in accordance with the priorities of the Government and the joint agenda with the EU.
Ademi said that assistance provided through IPA is very important for the implementation of key reforms, especially in this post-election period.
At the end of the meeting the interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between Macedonia and the European Commission, which is in favour of good relations at each level.
