Deputy Prime Minister
in charge of European Affairs, Bujar Osmani and Foreign Minister Nikola
Dimitrov had a briefing in front of the EU Commission in
the German Bundestag during their working visit to the Federal Republic of
Germany.
In front of the
EU Commission, DPM Osmani and MFA Dimitrov, discussed the course of
implementation of the reforms for European integration of the country, the
implementation of the adopted European laws, as well as the implementation of
the obligations arising from the Prespa Agreement and the Treaty of good
neighbourly relations with Bulgaria.
In his address,
Minister Dimitrov stressed: "We are here because we believe that we have
enough arguments to make sure that the decision to start the negotiations is
deserved and that opening the way to the EU will be a strong encouragement for
the goal we want to achieve - a modern European democracy. At the same time, it
will be a clear support for the kind of leadership we need more in the region.
Leadership that strives in a European way to solve problems and create a
future. "
"The
Republic of North Macedonia is ready to start negotiations with the European
Union today. The success of the country has created a new reality on the
Balkans, and at the same time probably the most successful European story in
the region, a prominent example for other Western Balkan countries - clearly
showing the transformation power of the European idea," said Deputy Prime
Minister Osmani.
"We
have achieved this with bold leadership moves, with a determined focus and a
dedicated work, and that is why our commitment is to persuade all member
states, especially those which support directs the course of the policies of
the whole Union," Osmani added.
Previously DPM
Osmani and MFA Dimitrov had a meeting with MP Johan Vadefull, they held an
official meeting with CDU President Annegret Kramp-Karenbauer, as well as with
