Deputy
Prime Minister of the Government in charge of European affairs, Bujar Osmani,
today hosted a delegation from the Republic of France, led by the Minister for
European affairs in the Ministry of foreign affairs of the Republic of France
Nathalie Loiseau, who is paying a working visit to our country.
Deputy
Prime Minister Osmani expressed his personal gratitude to Minister Loiseau for
the efforts and sincere support from France for our European integration, which
was pointed out at today's meetings, and assessed the visit as historical for
the country, given the timing - when North Macedonia is moving towards the
start of the accession negotiations with the EU.
"A
secure, stable and strong Europe with strong and efficient institutions of the
European Union is a priority for which there is undoubtedly a mutual interest
between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of France,"
Osmani said, adding that the European integration of the Western Balkan
countries will additionally contribute for a stable, secure and integrated
Balkans that will be a long-term stability factor throughout the continent, but
also a strong protector of the values and progress of the European Union.
At
the meeting between Osmani and Loiseau, the topics of the progress of the
Republic of North Macedonia from several aspects were opened, through the bold
political moves such as the Treaty of Good Neighbourly Relations with Bulgaria
and the Prespa Treaty with Greece, but also through the intensified reform
momentum, towards the approximation to the European rules, standards and
values, as a success story in the Balkans, whose example is a motivation for
progress in the Euro-Atlantic integrations, which could be followed by the other
countries in the region.
