The first bilateral screening meeting on Chapter 24, "Justice, Freedom and Security" has just concluded in Brussels. The Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European affairs and chief negotiator with the European Union, Bojan Maricikj, is satisfied with the readiness of the Macedonian negotiating team and the quality of the presentations on compliance with EU laws and their implementation.
I am satisfied with their preparedness, and so is the European Commission. The priority of the institutions and the administration remains the fulfilment of the obligations from Chapters 23 and 24, in order to maintain a good dynamic of the negotiation process and faster progress in the reform agenda," Deputy Prime Minister Maricikj wrote on his Facebook profile.
Tomorrow the Macedonian team continues with the presentation of all the activities undertaken and their implementation in this Chapter, which is divided into 12 sub-areas: asylum, migration, visas, external borders and Schengen law, fight against organized crime, cooperation in the field of drugs, fight against human trafficking, fight against terrorism and radicalism, judicial cooperation and exchange of information, judicial cooperation in criminal matters, police cooperation and customs cooperation.
