OSMANI: SPD WITH HUGE MAJORITY APPROVES THE START OF THE NEGOTIATIONS WITH NORTH MACEDONIA

Osmani pays a working visit to Berlin, where he had a meeting with the German
Bundestag MP Christian Petri from SPD, the second-largest political group.
At the meeting, Osmani
and Petri discussed the support for the decision to start the negotiations of
the Republic of North Macedonia with the European Union, for which a final
decision will be made tomorrow at the Bundestag session.
"New, encouraging message today, Mr.
Petri conveyed to me, that his party SPD, which is the second according to
number of seats, have decided by a large majority yesterday to vote in favour
of the decision to start the country"s accession negotiations with the EU,
" Osmani said, expressing thanks for the support. "Tomorrow is the
Bundestag session where our item is on the agenda, and it is increasingly
evident that Germany will vote in favour at the European summit in
Deputy Prime Minister Osmani is on a working
visit to Berlin, where he will attend the Bundestag session and will watch the
debate and vote on the decision for start of negotiations with the Republic of
North Macedonia at the EU summit in October. Deputy Prime Minister Osmani will
be hosted by the President of the German Bundestag, Wolfgang Schäuble during
his visit to Berlin.
