OSMANI: SLOVENIAN SUPPORT IS IRREVERSIBLY BUILT IN THE CONSTRUCTION AND SUCCESS OF SEA
15:06, Monday, November 05, 2018

Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Bujar Osmani paid a visit to the new premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in the country, where he had a meeting with Ambassador Milan Jazbec.

Osmani congratulated Ambassador Jazbec on the opening of the new larger premises of the Embassy, for which, he said, they reflect the progress of the friendship between the two countries.

During the meeting, the two interlocutors addressed the latest political developments, the relations with Greece, the process of implementation of the Prespa Agreement, the course of implementation of the reforms of Plan 18, as well as all other activities related to the Euro-Atlantic integration process of our country .

"Macedonia is in a period of explanatory screening, with which the negotiating structure is preparing for the start of negotiations in June next year," Osmani stressed, pointing to Slovenia's experience as a model for advancing the process of coordination of negotiations, as well as the development of action plans, mechanisms and indicators for monitoring, as well as all other acquired knowledge and experiences in the negotiation process.

"The first twinning process in the Secretariat for European Affairs has made Slovenia as early as 2004, making the country irreversibly embedded in the construction and success of this institution, for which I would like to express special gratitude," Osmani stressed, stressing that Macedonia has a lot to learn from Slovenia, especially from the aspect of the success of the model of achieving the strategic goals - NATO and EU membership.

During the meeting, the two interlocutors jointly agreed that the decades-long relationship of understanding and friendship between the two countries and the close relations between our citizens are great capital and investment in the future. In this context, Osmani expressed his great gratitude for the clear and strong support that the Republic of Slovenia has so far in relation to the processes of Euro-Atlantic integration of our country.
