Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs Bujar Osmani today had meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria, Renate Kobler.
At the meeting Deputy Prime Minister Osmani briefly informed the Ambassador Kobler on the priorities upon which shall work the new Government in the forthcoming period, in regard to the EU integration. "I am convinced that in the coming period we will have excellent and close cooperation in the implementation of all necessary reforms related to the process of integration in the EU", stressed Deputy Prime Minister Osmani, thus adding that Austria remains one of the most important partners and strong supporter of the enlargement policy and membership of the Western Balkan countries.
Deputy Prime Minister Osmani emphasized that the focus on fulfilment of the obligations arising from the Urgent Reform Priorities and the Agreement from Przhino remains. He expressed hope that the results will be achieved by providing a sustainable approach in the implementation of the key reform activities and thus would be removed the conditionality of the recommendation of the latest EC Progress Report on the country.
Both interlocutors agreed that a period of intensive work is expected in order to take the country back on the path towards EU.
