15:04, Tuesday, January 10, 2017
Today at the Secretariat for European Affairs was held a workshop on developing an IPA staff retention policy.   The workshop was opened by the State Secretary for European Affairs, Ana Blazheska.

Representatives from the Secretariat for European Affairs, the Ministry of finance, the IPA audit body, the National Agency for European Educational Programmes and Mobility, the Agency for Financial Support of Agriculture and Rural Development attended the workshop, and Blazheska introduced Mrs. Dobrinka Krasteva and Mr. Radoslav Milanov, who took part in the preparation of the IPA staff retention policy concept, recalling the joint expert missions that were conducted in November and December last year.

"The main motive for this workshop is to improve the capacity of the IPA structure for more efficient use of IPA funds, but also to examine the possibility of developing an IPA staff retention policy", said Blazheska. She added that the idea is to share the concept that was put on paper and discuss the way to achieve the implementation of the concept.

The aim of the workshop was to finalise the model of the IPA staff retention policy which is applicable in the administrative units of the EU funds. This model was developed by the Secretariat for European Affairs in cooperation with the Council of Ministers of Bulgaria, and beneficiaries and the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Information Society and Administration.
